Interview

Before any student is accepted and enrolled into Fresh Start Barber School, they will go through\ an interview to see if they will meet the criteria needed to enroll and gain the understanding of what it takes to become a licensed barber.

Student Transfer

Students must have official transcripts and will go through a written and practical evaluation to see where the student will be placed into the curriculum


Re-Enrollment

Students who want to re-enroll must have approval by the director prior to re-enrollment.



Barber Curriculum: 1500 hours

Bronze Stage - 0 to 450 Hours

History of Barbering, Life Skills, Professional Image, Infection Control Principles and Practices, Implimenting Tools and Equipment, General Anatomy and Physiology

Silver Stage - 451 to 900 Hours

Basics of Electricity, The Skin Structure, Disorders and Diseases, Properties and Disorders of the Hair and Scalp, Treatment of the Hair and Scalp, Mens Facial Massage and Treatments, Shaving and Facial Hair Design, Mens Haircutting and Styling

Gold Stage - 901 to 1350 Hours

Men's Hair Replacement, Women's Haircutting and Styling, Chemical Texture Services, Hair Coloring and Lightening, Preparing for Licensing and Employment, Working Behind the Chair, The Business of Barbering

Platinum Stage - 1351 to 1500 Hours

State Board Preparation and Licensing Laws, Job Search and Internship
